Description
Cool Coat Aluminum provides an excellent value, blending a high percent of aluminum with durable asphalt assuring a longer roof life, heat reflectivity and subsequent savings on roof maintenance. Our best selling aluminum reflective coating contains high-grade aluminum pigment, tough water-resistant asphalt and select fibers. The aluminum pigment seals in the natural oils of the asphalt keeping the asphalt pliant and roof watertight.
1.The asphaltic oils in the base coating are protected from the intense rays of the sun by the reflective properties of the aluminum. Over 70% of the sun's rays are reflected, thereby preventing the oils from being "cooked out" out of the base asphaltic coating. This allows the coating to retain its resilient characteristics and not crack or prematurely dry out.
2.The use of aluminum reflective coating will help reduce indoor building temperatures by as much as 15-20 degrees Fahrenheit. The sun's rays are prevented from penetrating the roof coating and passing the heat into the building interior thus improving inside living and working conditions. The combination of aluminum and asphalt produces a self-protecting roof coating with longer lasting moisture and heat resistant features.
